Destroying old memories [Open/See end of post] « Thread Started on Nov 7, 2009, 3:52pm »
Clutching the straps of her bag on her shoulders, Violet left the Slytherin Common Room. Thankfully, albeit unusually, it was quiet as anything, and so sneaking out after hours wasn't a problem. There were no shoes on her feet to avoid loud footsteps waking anybody up. It was cold outside, she knew that, but interruption wasn't an option, so she'd just have to suffer through it. Though her feet were bare, she wore a slytherin hoodie that was too big, forcing her to have to roll the sleeves up to free her hands. A black scarf hung loosely around her neck and a skirt sat at her waist. It hadn't been Violet's original intention to leave the common room, but there were some things that just couldn't be resisted.
The corridors were pitch black and silent, it being one in the morning. The faint whisper of the outside wind could only vaguely be heard. Once outside the castle and into the grounds, Violet thanked god that the ground was dry. Finally, she reached her destination: the forest. It hadn't been easy navigating her way through the grounds in the dark, but it was something Violet had done before, so it was manageable if not time consuming.
Violet spent a few minutes wandering through the forest without much purpose, if only to lose herself from thoughts of the castle. Slowly, her feet came to a stop. Her mind wasn't directing itself, she felt numb as she walked, as if her feet were in control. So it was a surprise when she found her self at a stand still, staring into blackness. Blinking, she slid her bag off her shoulders and sat down. The items in the bag were things she did not intend on bringing back to the castle. Photos, notebooks... but Violet turned her head around sharply, twisting her body to face where she'd come from. The snap of a branch on the ground made her eyes narrow and her heart beat race. Somebody was here. Her blood boiled at the thought of being followed, even spied on. Who was it ? The figure was slowly coming into view. Was it, a boy ? Yes. Not somebody young. Maybe 5th year or above. Violet remained silent, refusing to be the first to break the calm that had previously surrounded her.

Will had completely lost track of time in the inside forest. He had snuck off earlier in the day with his guitar and must have dozed off, for now he had been awoken by someone else entering the forest and it was dark. Oh dear... He thought to himself, he usually didn't mind getting into trouble, actually he quite enjoyed it, but someone might see him with his guitar... And Will was quite enjoying the whole "tough guy" thing he had going on. He listened intently as the soft footfalls of bare feet made their way around the forest. Will got up slowly and gently propped his guitar against a nearby tree before beginning to make his way to where the footsteps could be heard.
He tried to stay shrouded in the darkness as he saw the silhouette of a girl not far from where he was, he took a step in the opposite direction, hoping to get back to his guitar and then to the door without getting caught. Unfortunately he managed to stick one of his big size 11's right on top of a dead twig, the girl whirled round and looked quite, well, pissed off.
She was a Slytherin, possibly in his own year with cherry-red hair.
"Err... sorry, didn't mean to scare you." he offered an apologetic smile before turning back to his guitar. He thought for a second before asking, "What're you doing out so late?"
