it's just a matter of time [Lillianna, open] « Thread Started on Sept 4, 2009, 3:05am »
A clock tower. Cliché, wasn't it? Every single loner in the world came up to the clock tower at night to be alone. But Abel didn't care. It was quiet, save for when the clock tolled the hour. Then, the entire room shook, and he nearly went deaf.
Sighing, he pulled the black bowler cap he had smuggled into his luggage down over his eyes and sighed, resting his head on the wall behind him. He wore a white, long-sleeved business-type shirt and dark gray slacks. His hair was curly, even more so than usual for him, sticking out almost comically under the hat.
He crossed his ankles, letting the stillness of the night surround him.

Soft humming gently ran through the tower as Lillianna Abecrombie made her way up it. She had a smile set on her cotton, pink lips and her hair in a white headband laying softly on her dark brown hair. Her hair layed on both sides of her shoulders in soft waves at the ends. Lillianna wore a white, sundress with white ballet flats to go with the rest of the outfit and a pencil in her hair.
She gave a smile as she planned to sketch the clocktower and then paint it when she gets back into her dorm. Lillianna held her sketchpad in her messenger bag that hanging on her left shoulders with books and other small things in the pockets and what not. She bit her lip, before moving on up to the top of the tower.

He heard the footsteps first. Then the humming started. Professors rarely hummed when they were patrolling, so it was fairly obvious another student was on the way up.
Sighing once again, Abel turned his head from the doorway to stare out at the Courtyard blankly. If whoever was coming up saw him, well, what could he do?

Lillianna finished the last few stairs as she came closer to the top. She stepped through the doorway, stopped glancing around to see if anyone else was in the tower. Her eyes stopped on a boy, a Slytherin, if she remembered correctly. At first, Lilli was a little hesitiant about going any farther, but she decided to continue on.
Lillianna passed the other student, to the end of the other side of the tower. She bit at her lip for a moment, deciding on where best the best view was for a good sketching. Lilli decidded to sit in the corner to draw. Taking out her sketchpad, Lillianna took her messenger bag off her shoulder, took her pencil from her ear and began to draw.

Abel drew his legs back so the girl wouldn't trip, and simply continued to stare out at the courtyard. Once in a while, he'd look back to see what the Hufflepuff was doing. After a while, he recognized her from the Great Hall, and noticed that she was drawing something. Nodding to the sketchbook, he asked: "Whatcha drawing?"
He was feeling somewhat social now, for whatever reason. Might as well make it clear that he's not just a creeper or anything.

Lillianna glanced at the Slytherin as he asked her a question about what she was drawing. her eyes turned to the sketch and then back to him. "Just the courtyard and everything around it. Nothing really important," she replied softly. Lillia moved her hand gentely over the paper as she erased a line and then returned to drawing.
"What are you doing up here?" she asked, looking back over to him. Lillianna was just curious as to why he sitting there doing nothing, but staring out at the courtyard. Not that she minded, though. It was his choice what he did with his time and this was what he chose.

"Just the courtyard and everything around it. Nothing really important. What are you doing up here?"
He nodded to himself, a gesture of neither approval or not. But at her responding question, he drew his knees up further to wrap his arms around them, linking them together by his index fingers. "Not really sure. I'd say "thinking", but then I'd be lying." He frowned slightly, at himself more than anything.

Lillianna stretched her neck to an angle to get a better look at some of the courtyard at the same time as listening to Abel. Her green eyes looked to him, her hand continuing to move in similar movements each time. Lilli nodded to him not questioning his respone, unsure of what to make of it. "I'm Lillianna Abercrombie," she said looking at the Slytherin boy. They hadn't formally met, only seen each other in the Great Hall. Her eyes then moved back to the courtyard, making sure they caught everything that was there, even the newcoming kids. She made sure she took a detailed description of them in her head to paint them correctly also.

She was making sure that she got everything she saw, wasn't she? Abel turned his focus to her hands, trying to guess what she was drawing. Lillianna, she said her name was.
"Nice name," he said sincerely, a rarity for him. "Abel Delarge. Nice to have a name to the face." He tried to smile. Whether or not it was successful was unclear.

Lillianna glanced at him before looking back down at her drawing. She was just about down with the courtyard, only a few more finishing touches and it would be perfect. She smiled to herself, feeling good about the picture she drew and how precise it looked. Lillianna then looked back at Abel.
"Thank you, Abel. It's nice to finally and formally meet you," she said smiling at him. Lilli turned onto another blank page and began drawing again, but this time it was him she was drawing just for fun. She didn't say that though and didn't look at him as much so it wasn't suspicious or anything.

Abel watched her turn the page and start drawing something else, with a vague curiosity. He couldn't see what she was doing, though, and eventually went back to staring out at the courtyard. "A lot of people like to draw around here, huh," Said more like a statement than a question, let Abel show you his conversation-keeping skills. They're not very impressive.

Lillianna nodded, acknowledging Abel in a small way. "Drawing is a great talent to have. Of course when you first begin it can be quite a challenge," she said looking over at Abel. She turned back to her drawing before turning the page again to draw the room that they were. Lillianna looked at Abel. "What do you like to do?" she asked him.

"Not much, actually. Read here, wander about the school there... I'm a surprisingly boring person," said he, shrugging nonchalantly. "I do my own little doodles every now and then." He paused. "They look more like someone had a seizure while holding a pencil, though."

Lillianna looked at Abel as he spoke. "Well that also makes me sound boring," she said watching him for a moment. He didn't find anyone boring at all, always findning something interesting about a person. She didn't know Abel well yet, but she knew she could find something interesting about him. "What do you like to read?" Lillianna asked continuing to draw.
